Historic Mission Kitchen

This kitchen remodel was centered on a young family in need of a better place to plan and make meals. The original 1940s kitchen was becoming too cramped and “crusty” and the only functional area was the eating nook. The solution for a larger and more functional kitchen was moving the windows to increase natural light and opening the kitchen to the dining room with an eating peninsula.

The new kitchen provides plenty of preparation space and wonderful new appliances and fixtures while maintaining a historic feel. Beautiful Mission Style quarter-sawn red oak cabinets continue into the dining room with a new buffet. Using sustainable products, such as Marmoleum Flooring, Aura low VOC paint and local custom cabinets, we made sure this new kitchen would be safe and healthy for the whole family.
